Merchant Services is the global payment processing business for JPMorgan Chase & Co. Merchant Services is the world's leading merchant acquirer with over $1 trillion in annual transaction volume. Merchant Services is a leading provider of payment, fraud and data security for companies large and small and capable of authorizing transactions in more than 130 currencies.

J.P. Morgan Merchant Services has embarked on a multi-year effort to build a new, state-of-the-art merchant acquiring platform ("Helix") that enables commerce around the globe. Delivering on this sizable and complex undertaking requires tight integration and collaboration across technology, product management, business and client readiness. Ensuring strategic alignment, transparency, and governance for scope and funding decisions is imperative, particularly as the program is approaching critical milestones. The Integrated PMO team will support end-to-end delivery in an Agile-at-scale environment and be accountable for implementation and feature availability commitment dates.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain program governance calendar and ensure efficient and effective meetings including drafting agendas, preparing speakers, taking meeting minutes, and tracking follow-ups

• Develop dashboards, briefings, and discussion materials for senior executives and stakeholders to provide transparency and facilitate decision-making (leveraging Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, and other collaboration tools)

• Help maintain a master plan across all areas to ensure priorities and deliverables are in sync and progress remains on track

• Take ownership for resolving specific issues that could impede program progress

• Help identify cross-impacts, dependencies, and impediments to progress and ensure they are addressed

• Support the refinement of the investment business case as the effort evolves

• Identify continuous improvement initiatives by publishing surveys and analyzing results to distill key insights and develop strategic recommendations

Qualifications


  • Track record of strong performance at the Associate level
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience, including experience in program/project management in an Agile development environment
  • Financial services (particularly payments) expertise considered a significant plus
  • Self-starter able to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative and cross-functional environment that is results-driven
  • Rigorous, logical thinker with ability to identify and articulate rationale, assumptions, and risks
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with ability to establish trust and credibility with stakeholders and partners
  • Openness to an environment of active developmental feedback from peers
  • Strong time-management, organizational skills, and attention to detail
  • Fortitude to persevere when confronted with difficult challenges
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate technical topics to a non-technical audience and business needs to a technical audience
  • Prior experience with developing and managing web-based team collaboration pages in Confluence and/or SharePoint. Knowledge of programming languages to facilitate automation of reporting a plus
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) with demonstrated commitment to learning and utilizing technical tools
  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree in a business or technical field preferred; PMP certification a plus
  • Flexibility for occasional travel in the future
  • Location base in Chicago, IL or Jersey City, NJ
