The Hospital Laboratory Services Director will report directly to the Chief Operating Officer, COO. The Hospital Director Laboratory Services will be supported by a Manager of Lab and a Supervisor of Lab. The Hospital Laboratory Services Director will work alongside the hospital senior leadership, physicians, and pathologists in a full service laboratory. 

The Hospital Laboratory Services Director is responsible for planning, coordinating, and supervising all functions within the lab department. The Hospital Laboratory Services Director will oversee the operations of the department including testing, staffing, training, scheduling, budgeting, and maintaining supplies. The Hospital Laboratory Services Director will ensure that services provided by the laboratory are high quality, are cost effective, and carried out in an expeditious manner. The Laboratory Services Hospital Director will also maintain performance improvement activities within the lab department and participate in CQI activities.
