And with APIs, connections are real-time, directly linking into clients' internal systems and customer-facing portals.

What we're looking for

As our payment solutions continue to roll-out and evolve, we seek an experienced NYC-area based Product Control Manager to oversee and deliver the control agenda within IPPG for the Alternative Payments product set. This includes Digital Wallet, Push to Card and same currency cross-border ACH payments.

This role is well suited for an individual with a deep understanding of product management and controls discipline, a laser sharp focus on execution, and the ability to work closely with multiple product development leads and functional partners, including compliance, risk management, legal, treasury, operations, credit and tax.

Key responsibilities:


  • The management and delivery of the Alternative Payments control agenda, globally
  • Identify and manage solutions to mitigate payment risks and support business growth
  • Management of client requirements through collaboration with the Alternative Payments product management teams
  • Collaborate with technology partners on business requirements and implementation
  • Partner with IPPG team members on key initiatives to ensure regulatory and risk requirements are identified and met
  • Issue management related to payment controls, monitoring and escalation
  • Partnership with the IPPG program management team to ensure all deliverables and projects related to the launch of the new control solutions are delivered on schedule
  • Engagement with functional partners, including Risk, Compliance and Legal, to evaluate risks and ensure risk requirements are met
  • Participate and lead internal product control discussions across multiple stakeholders

Skills requirements


  • Track record of strong performance at the Vice President level
  • Minimum of 5+ years of payments experience with a strong understanding of cash management controls related to global payments
  • Superior judgment to mitigate risk and foster an environment where risk/control issues are escalated
  • Excellent relationship-building skills, with ability to establish trust and credibility across lines of business and functions, work well in cross-functional teams, and influence key stakeholders
  • Excellent written, visual, and verbal communication skills, including ability to develop and articulate business requirements to a product management & technology partners
  • Creative problem solver, capable of developing innovative and differentiated solutions
  • Strong time-management and organizational skills with ability to objectively prioritize
  • Works well within a dynamic environment and under pressure
  • Energetic, motivated, self-starter with an entrepreneurial approach and an eye for detail
  • Bachelor's degree required; graduate degree in a business or technical field preferred
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Flexibility for occasional travel
