In 2020, MD West ONE and Methodist Orthopedics united as the most comprehensive head-to-toe musculoskeletal and nervous system practice in the region. Our depth in orthopedic, neurosurgery and spine specialized care allows our patients to be seen under ONE versatile, collaborative entity.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a welcoming, compassionate Medical Receptionist to greet patients for our orthopedic providers at our busy Fremont location. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced work environment and is comfortable juggling multiple tasks. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm.
Responsibilities:
Greets and registers patients upon arrival to the clinic
Answers telephones to schedule appointments, take messages, and direct calls to appropriate personnel
Prepares records for office visits by reviewing EMR to accelerate patient care
Deliver the highest quality service in a non-judgmental and non-discriminating manner, sensitive to patient and coworker needs
Contribute to the team-oriented environment by demonstrating cooperative, constructive, problem-solving interaction with coworkers
Communicates with patients, doctors, nurses, and other employees regarding scheduling and concerns needing to be addressed
Requirements:
High school graduate or equivalent required
Previous experience in a medical clinic or orthopedics group highly preferred
Outgoing and friendly personality
Ability to tolerate frequent physical activity (sitting, walking, standing, stooping, carrying, talking, seeing, bending, handling); ability to lift up to 35 lbs on an occasional basis
Strong verbal and computer skills, experience with Microsoft Office and EMR systems
Reliable, punctual, courteous, flexible, and a fast learner
