The Office of the President of Cognizant North America (NA), which is responsible for 75 percent of Cognizant’s global revenue, is looking for an experienced and highly skilled Marketing Communications Lead to help empower and energize NA employees to drive business results to the next level through a commitment to shared goals and strategies.

We are seeking a Marketing Communications 2.0 leader – someone who can deliver exceptional, creative and innovative marketing communications with ‘wow-did-you-see-that’ results, all carefully crafted and strategically aligned with business goals. The successful candidate will be well-versed in the written word, video, social media, visuals, mobile technology and more. He or she will be a senior member of the Global Marketing Communications team, supervise direct and indirect reports, serve as a mentor and role model to early-career colleagues, and collaborate across other functions, both within the Marketing team and with diverse colleagues and cultures around the globe. 

Responsibilities


  • Manage the North America Marketing Communications group, as well as supervise associates from across Marketing on executing projects that are aligned to business strategy.

  • Lead the design of strategic and creative marketing and communications campaigns and messaging, targeted by audience.

  • Oversee the creation and development of attention-grabbing collateral and tactics through a variety of mediums, including print, digital, video and live events.

  • Direct outstanding writing and the delivery of breakthrough executive communications, video scripts, digital content and more that capture the voice of the executive in a genuine, engaging way.

  • Oversee social media content development on behalf of the President of North America across multiple internal and external social channels.

  • Lead the measurement and analysis of metrics to inform senior leadership decision-making.

  • Bring a unique point of view to executive leadership and colleagues, balanced by a commitment to encourage and incorporate other team members’ insights, as appropriate.

  • Help create a culture in which everyone thrives, with an emphasis on honoring and encouraging diversity of thought.

What we’re looking for


  • An agile, creative leader with experience with and insights into new and emerging trends across marketing, advertising, public relations, social media and employee communications.

  • 12+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations, advertising, marketing and/or creative agencies.

  • Ability to lead a team, including in the face of ambiguity, multiple deadlines, and emerging challenges and priorities.

  • Expert-level in English-language communications proficiency.

  • Strong judgment and a growth mindset.

  • Ability to oversee the development of creative and strategic projects and “get the best” from team members.

  • Genuine passion for overseeing communications that drive employee engagement, employee experience and executive thought leadership.

  • Proven experience working with senior business and thought leaders.

  • Bachelor’s Degree (Communications, Public Relations, English, Journalism or Marketing degree preferred).
