Director, Human Resources

Reports to: Executive Vice President, Human Resources

Location: Milwaukee HQ

Scope: Enterprise

Primary Responsibilities:

·       Business Partner: oversight for all corporate HQ HR functions and roles, partners with corporate headquarters’ functions (Finance, Legal, BD, Marketing and HR), responsibilities include staffing, employee and leadership training and development, and employee relations

·       Talent Development: design and deliver talent development programs, facilitates succession planning, mentoring and coaching of top and emerging talent, partners with business leaders to assess employee engagement and deploy appropriate strategies

·       Diversity and Inclusion: executes strategies and practices to develop a diverse workplace and to create a differentiating, competitive business advantage for The Manitowoc Company

·       Performance Management: drives innovation, process and rigor into performance management process including effective and timely coaching and feedback, goal cascading, aligned and smart objectives setting, training, measurement of impact and effectiveness

·       Mergers & Acquisition: partner with EVP, HR and regional businesses to lead due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions

·       HR Administration and Compliance: ensures that regulatory and corporate compliance is achieved including but not limited to; EEOC, DOL and OFCCP compliance, HR policies and procedures, Affirmative Action Planning, employee compliance training

·       Employee and Labor Relations: partners with global teams (businesses, HR, works councils) on employee and labor matters, works with in-house and outside counsel and EVP, HR on escalated employee matters and litigation

·       Culture: lead the efforts, with the executive team, business leaders and employees; to further deploy the shared values and behaviors that uniquely define The Manitowoc Company culture and The Manitowoc Way

·       HR Communications: including internal and external communications and employer branding (via traditional platforms and social media)

·       Field HR Business Partnership: will be available to provide emergency support or burst capacity, as needed, to our plants around the globe

·       Handles additional duties and projects, as assigned.

Qualifications:

·       10+ years of progressive business and human resources experience

·       Experience in a human resources leadership, business partner role

·       Experience developing and delivering talent development programs

·       Excellent project management, leadership and planning skills

·       Prior experience with a global manufacturer is desired

·       Occasional travel, including international, is required (10-20%)

·       Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources or a related field

·       MBA or advanced degree, a plus
