The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the equipment, staff and processes on the production floor. Manage the production team and oversee scheduling and day-to-day production activities. Primarily in charge of ensuring the production equipment is operational and maintaining the ongoing production of products. Responsible for troubleshooting any issues that arise.

Responsibilities

• Supervise production according to established guidelines.


• Work with Planning to schedule builds and manage capacity.


• Large equipment purchases through our AFE process


• Participate in weekly dispatch meeting as the production representative


• Schedule, assign, and manage the activities of team members.


• Conduct performance reviews. Hire and train staff as needed.


• Coordinate development and documentation of procedures.


• Ensure customer service level, cost and quality, efficiency are maintained.


• Troubleshoot production issues by working with manufacturing and quality engineers.


• Monitor processes and make adjustments to stay within schedule, budgets and established targets.


• Provide skilled technical guidance for production issues.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma. Associates/Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or a related technical field preferred.

Experience: 3 - 5 years manufacturing/production experience in an instrument or chemical processing environment. Strong knowledge of SAP in the Production and Planning fields. Experience on a production team in a high variety/lower volume environment. Will not only be able to supervise the team, but also have hands on experience to build bulks and buffer, when needed.

Skills: Basic knowledge of regulatory requirements, analytical, communication and computer skills.
