Job Purpose

Primarily responsible for design and develop software applications with limited supervision.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Perform coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the software development process


• Participate in requirements gathering, code design, and documentation


• Work on projects/matters of varying complexity with little oversight


• Follow established coding standards and techniques to create well-designed, testable, efficient code


• Maintain proficiency in the application and use of systems, tools, and processes within the department's scope


• Assist in code reviews and with activities for projects, system improvements, and ad-hoc or emergency requests


• Provide support for more senior level engineers in the engineering team

Qualifications

Required

Bachelor's degree; BSCS, BSCE, BSEE or equivalent

2+years of software development and design experience

Strong understanding of cloud technologies including SaaS, PaaS, and IaaS.

Experience with AWS EC2 and Microsoft Azure services.

Knowledge of scalable logical and physical database design.

Experience in design and implementation of cloud applications.

Experience with latest cyber security techniques.

Exposure to cloud based mobile application development.

Through understanding of UI and UX development processes, storyboards, wireframes, and rapid prototyping tools.

Familiarity of design/development of embedded systems.

Understanding of C#, C++ and JAVA programming languages.

Experience with various connectivity protocols (WiFi, Bluetooth, LoRaWan, SigFox, Zigbee)

Experience with socket APIs

Linux/RTOS experience

Experience with software architecture and design patterns

Familiarity with debugging.
