Job Description:

Practice Specific Skills (Performance Improvement):


  • Firm understanding of financial and analytical accounting (P&L 360 analysis, ratio analysis)

  • Firm understanding of components of company business and operating model

  • Firm understanding of key levers and drivers for short and long terms performance improvement

  • Strong benchmarking, value chain and spent analysis, business processes design, head count modelling, organizational design et al skills

  • Understanding of liquidity management

  • Strong Excel and Power Point skills

  • Can manage a work stream, including leading/coaching junior A&M and client staff


Client Work:


  • Acceptance by client as work stream leader, can interact with clients/constituencies alone

  • Can identify resource needs and milestones to accomplish assigned work by deadlines

  • Demonstrates sound judgment, knows when to cross check important decisions

  • Can manage a process, both to produce A&M work product and to solve client problems
  • Accepts responsibility for quality of their own work, and of A&M juniors and client staff

Business Development:


  • Leads pitch preparation and assists in pitches , supports SBU marketing initiatives

  • Demonstrates initiative in identifying work to be done and defining their role on case

  • Builds lasting relationships with client management and staff, other professionals on case

  • Begins building own network of contacts/referral sources with professionals/institutions


Development and People Skills:

  • Positive attitude; willing to stretch, demonstrates initiative with assigned work streams

  • Engenders trust: sought out by seniors for casework and marketing support

  • Demonstrates leadership/mentoring towards A&M juniors in case work and SBU activities

  • Understands and can accept or set deadlines, can function under pressure

  • Exhibits behaviour consistent with A&M cultural values
