Overview

The Junior Application Delivery Engineer provides overall management of one or several assigned applications. They are expected to assist in managing all facets of ensuring application availability and data accuracy for business customers who use the application. Additionally, they will create and maintain appropriate documentation as it relates to their assigned applications. They will work with the business on configuration and customization of the application and apply SDLC, continuous improvement, and security concepts to managing their applications.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

Provide application management services for assigned applications.
1. Lead all efforts to deploy, upgrade, patch, configure, and customize assigned applications.


2. Manage changes and incidents for assigned systems.


3. Coordinate and advise infrastructure team members on backups and performance-related issues.


4. Work to gain institutional knowledge of business processes as they relate to or compliment assigned applications.


5. Create and maintain documentation for assigned applications.


6. Act as the point of contact with the business on new requirements or configuration requests.


7. Cooperate and coordinate integration efforts with other application owners.


8. Apply SDLC and continuous improvement concepts to application management.


9. Advise on appropriate security measures for assigned applications.

OTHER FUNCTIONS/RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Complies with all safety rules and cooperates in the fullest in the promotion of safety and safe work habits, to include the reporting of any unsafe conditions or acts. Maintains all EH&S training on a current basis.


2. Complies with all applicable MIC and Hawaii Gas policies and procedures.


3. Maintains assigned work area and equipment in a clean, orderly, and safe manner; performs housekeeping duties as required and/or instructed. Works in a safe and responsible manner.


4. Performs all other related duties as instructed by supervisor/manager; may be required to participate in project planning and other high-level tasks not directly related to the job description.

Qualifications

Required Education and/or Work Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Information Systems Management or 2 year college degree in computer science or information systems management and 1-2 years of directly related experience.


• 5-7 years of directly related experience.

Preferred Education and/or Work Experience:

4 year college degree and 2-3 years of directly related experience.

Required Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

None

Preferred Licensure, Certification, Registration or Designation:

ITIL V3 certification.

Working Conditions/Environment:
