Position Description:

Employees in this role function as an information technology (IT) professionals serving as technical experts and participate in or oversee a variety of analytical and technical assignments that provide for problem diagnosis and solutions, Technical documentation, implementation, administration, support, and maintenance of a variety of hardware, software, and network products in a Global information technology infrastructure environment.

Responsibilities:


  • Proactive Analysis of issues - Review of metrics, tickets, alarms of impairments, constraints, issues, and trends to research, investigate and resolve issues before they occur.


  • Data Collection - Responsible for understanding what data elements should be collected to better monitor, evaluate, troubleshoot and stabilize the infrastructure.


  • Multiple function ownership - Take responsibility and ownership of multiple functions in the organization.


  • Manage and support virtual/physical servers, multiple OS


  • Configure and maintain virtual/physical servers and processes


  • Monitor system's health and performance


  • Ensure high levels of performance, availability, sustainability and security


  • Analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time


  • Provide suggestions for solutions


  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes


  • Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement


  • Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems as part of our rotating On-call schedule


  • Perform scheduled maintenance and support release deployment activities after hours


Self-direction is required and must be fostered within the team. You will be required to understand complex systems and the interactions with other complex systems as well as Infrastructure architecture competencies we will grow within the team.

You will work with your team to develop long-range strategies based on Infrastructure technical trends and business forecasts. The Technology team commitment to leadership means you will strive to understand and adhere to technology/business best practices and adapt the program as needed.

Qualifications:


  • Experience in infrastructure architecture, data centers, servers, and networks


  • Experience with Windows and Unix Operating systems


  • Knowledge and skill sets to install, configure, maintain and support servers


  • Experience with emerging technology, such as cloud computing, desktop virtualization and unified communications


  • Flexible and reliable worker, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks


  • Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Impeccable attention to detail


Education and Experience Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field - Years of applicable experience may substitute for the degree


  • Minimum of two years of experience in Windows Server (2012 or higher) administration, information technology, network administration, or a related field


  • Microsoft Certified Windows Server Administrator (2012 or higher) a plus


  • Experience with Linux and/or Unix Server environments a plus


  • Experience with VmWare VCenter


  • Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus

    • Base salary range: $71,719-$78,113
