Job Summary:

The Senior Manager of Consolidations and Reporting is responsible for managing the overall consolidation and segment reporting requirements of CooperVision. This position will be a key point of contact for global finance teams, providing guidance, support, and direction to ensure consistent application of US GAAP reporting requirements and adherence to corporate policies and procedures. This position will also have oversight over a variety of strategic initiatives and special project work, liaising with key global functional leaders across FP&A, Tax, Treasury, and SEC Reporting.

Essential Functions & Accountabilities:


  • Oversight over the global accounting consolidations, plus various aspects of financial reporting, both internally and external reporting to the parent company.

  • Key liaison between CooperVision Finance and HQ senior leadership within Tax, Finance and Treasury on key global finance projects and corporate accounting and reporting matters that require guidance and technical research.

  • Partner with, and support other global, regional and local functions, including FP&A, Tax, Treasury, Corporate Accounting, Operations Finance, Global Trade Compliance, and External Reporting on the execution of key global finance project initiatives.

  • Support and drive key global projects including, GCOA maintenance and governance, Hyperion EPM optimizations, and Oracle EBS design / implementation

  • Oversight of the consolidation process for budget, forecast, and actuals; ensures timely and accurate US GAAP and Non-GAAP financial reporting

  • Maintenance of all global consolidations SOX Controls and management of audits

  • Partnering with Business Development team throughout acquisition and integration processes, including management of relevant reporting at key milestones

  • Provide accounting related advice and support to local entities, including accounting issue review, US GAAP guidance and proposed journal entries to close queries out

  • Drive timely and accurate financial reporting throughout the organization, including driving process changes as necessary to accelerate reporting cycles, providing global status updates and management of issue logs through each cycle

Qualifications

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:


  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Ability to be a strong team player as well as work independently with superior attention to detail and capacity to lead projects

  • Leadership and communication skills with strong team building experience

  • Consolidations and global finance expertise; background in manufacturing, distribution, and /or commercial environments a plus

  • Prior experience with financial reporting requirements for large acquisitions

  • Strong technical accounting background with a thorough knowledge of US GAAP (notably, ASC 606, 842, 330, 805, and 830)

  • IT Systems

  • Advanced level proficiency with Excel

  • Knowledge of Hyperion EPM (HFM, Planning, and / or Essbase) is preferred

  • Knowledge of Oracle EBS (R12) is preferred

Experience:


  • 8+ years of experience; 4+ years Big 4 experience a plus

Education:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required

  • CPA or equivalent is required
