If you are a BUSINESS AND INSIGHTS ANALYST looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our SIDNEY, OHIO location, you will. be responsible for providing critical reports, data analysis, and interpretation that helps drive the day-to-day operations of our business. Your responsibilities include the full lifecycle of data analytics, from developing the logic behind dashboards and standard reports to providing ongoing insight to key stakeholders, to supporting the business with quick turnaround on ad hoc data analysis requests. This role will work in close partnership with leadership, operations and finance, sales and marketing, and technical teams to find opportunities to improve our business. We are looking for specialists who thrive in working with large data sets, conducting deep data analysis, are intensely curious, and enjoy designing and developing long-term solutions. Our team is responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing compelling visualizations to communicate insights across the Cold Chain business. AS A BUSINESS AND INSIGHTS ANALYSTS, YOU WILL: 

• Identify and recommend opportunities to create efficiency and improvements in systems, approaches, processes.
• Gather requirements, frame up questions, identify root problem, determine data sources, analyze results using statistical techniques / models, summarize data analysis into clear take-aways and deliver actionable insights.
• Deliver insights through analytics, models, data visualization, and dashboards that drive optimized business decisions to improve performance and reduce costs.
• Provide accurate, transparent, and timely operational analysis in support of the business objectives.
• Analytical and operational support to the business unit.
• Participate in developing insights-led recommendations and solutions.
• 
  Implement robotic process automation to complete "last mile automation" as required.
   

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

• Undergraduate degree in engineering, business, math, statistics, MIS, data analytics, or another relevant degree.
• 1 or more years of experience in working with data and deriving insights (co-op or internship experience considered)
• Expertise in technical analytics and data visualization (Excel, PowerBI, Tableau, Domo, SQL).
• Able to read and understand simple coding expressions in R, Python, Matlab, SQL, or similar coding language
• Must be able to process, clean, and verify the integrity of data
• Possess a general understanding of data storage, management, and schemas
• Strong organization skills and the ability to multitask while efficiently completing high quality work
• Ability to summarize complex data into themes, stories and recommendations and communicate to stakeholders
• Have a general understanding of Machine Learning, AI, optimization, and forecasting enough to know what to ask for and expect from the Data Science team
• Ability to work on virtual teams with members around the globe
• Ability to travel up to 15%
• Legal authorization to work in the United States - Sponsorship for this role will not be provided

• Data Science, Tableau, Excel, PowerBI, Domo, Analytics certification(s)
• 3 or more years of experience in working with data and deriving insights
• Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills
