If you are an Inventory Control Analyst professional looking for an opportunity to grow, Emerson has an exciting opportunity for you!  Based in our Cudahy, WI location, you will be responsible for providing support in monitoring & maintaining accurate Inventories, processing non-standard inventory receipts, specialty transactions and cycle counting. AS AN INVENTORY CONTROL ANALYST, YOU WILL: 


  • Monitor, review and/or enter transactions as appropriate (receipts, transfers, adjustments, scrap, etc.) into the MRP system (AXAPTA) to ensure accuracy and timely material activity and transaction processing.  Ensure all data files are up-to-date.   Utilize independent problem-solving methods to resolve inventory discrepancies and transaction issues in a timely fashion.
  • Assist all departments in resolving Axapta issues and identifying inventory control system improvements.  Maintain the part Item Master Data information for new and existing part numbers per current system guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate inventory control records and system procedures by reviewing inventory transactions, Bills of Materials, Engineering Changes and other inventory activities.  
  • Verify inventory levels through physical counts, cycle counting and reconciliation.   Organize physical counts as required by management, including preparation/acquisition of all materials and supplies required, determining employees available for counting, hand-writing, auditing, and reconciliation; orientation and training of employees involved in physical.
  • Support Sales, Purchasing and Accounting in resolving discrepancies with material purchase order receipts, customer and supplier return material processing.
  • Support New Product Development (NPD)/Engineering Releases as it relates to the inventory system.   Monitor and resolve discrepancies that involve engineering structures, foreman's orders, purchasing due dates, and shop floor work packets.   Analyze, process and approve engineering change notices to assure timely phase in/out of materials to avoid obsolescence, unnecessary purchase orders, and/or production shortages.   
  • Provide data entry transactions, adjustments and/or corrections for labor tickets, pick slips, special run pick slips, bill of material, and inventory allocations from blueprints and foreman's orders as needed.
  • Coordinate with operations, quality, and accounting to resolve discrepancies related to non-conforming material, and maintain non-conforming material filing system. 
  • Organize inventory by planning item locations, creating and monitoring location set-ups to ensure accurate picking of material and disbursement transactions.
  • Participate on cross functional teams to address and resolve operational problems and ensure the continuous, on-going improvement of processes and methods.
  • Miscellaneous projects and tasks as assigned.

WHO YOU ARE:You are an analytical, detail oriented, team player who can work independently.  

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:


  • Associates Degree in Operations or related field or equivalent
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in Inventory Control Management 
  • Prefer APICS Certification and Supply Chain Experience

 PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:  

  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Materials Operations.
  • Understanding of ERP system use and experience with MRP system maintenance.
  • MS Office application experience required.
  • Proficiency in the use of the computer and software applications for data gathering, statistical analysis, report       preparation, presentation and communication 
  • Sufficient level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze situations and develop effective courses of action where problems are somewhat complex.
  • Persistence and responsiveness.

Schedule
The facility works 24 hours a day and typically 5 days a week. Our core office hours range anywhere between 7 am – 5 pm and are flexible given we work together to best support business demands as well as the needs of our customers around the world.
