Job Description:

Arcadis is seeking an experienced engineer or project manager to support our Federal Program. Our ideal candidate will be an engineer, project manager or project controls specialist with DOE Order 413.3b experience. This position can be located out of any of our US Offices.

We have a growing project base within the U.S. Department of Energy, where we support large engineering design and construction projects across the country. In this role, you will apply a broad range of project management and controls practices as applicable during the life cycle of projects from conception to closeout following DOE Order 413.3b (Program and Project Management for the Acquisition of Capital Assets; DOE Guide 413.3-10 (Earned Value Management System); as well as other site specific policies and procedures as appropriate. You will identify and apply specialized project management and controls procedures needed to advance the project through the DOE Critical Decision (CD) process.

What you will own:


  • Applying DOE Order 413.3b to project planning and execution for large and highly complex projects.
  • Participate in project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Develop and manage resource loaded schedules, including but not limited to schedule status reporting, variance analysis, notice of change, and Earned Value reporting.
  • Working as part of an internal team and ability to be client facing.
  • Using experiences and project objectives to resolve issues effectively.

Who you are:

  • Experience working with groups and teams on large projects in a fast paced environment.
  • Broad and extensive knowledge of DOE and DOE laboratory project management requirements including DOE Order 413.3 and Earned Value Management System (EVMS) techniques.
  • In-depth knowledge of project planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
  • Work successfully in a team setting as well as independently. #LI-JC1

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management or another related field
  • 8 years of experience in the planning and control of medium to large projects
  • Expertise, in depth knowledge and execution of DOE Order 413.3

Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or similar engineering discipline
  • Previous work experience at a consulting firm

In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay Transparency Rules:
Arcadis offers benefits for full time positions. These benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage along with a 401K plan, STD and LTD, and Life Insurance as well as some additional optional benefits.
Full time positions also come with annual PTO days and at certain levels a bonus program may apply.
The Salary range for this role is $77,792 - 120,640 for Colorado based positions only. Other locations will vary in salary range.
