Job Description:

Machine Learning & Artificial Intelligence will play a critical role in transforming CCB Operations. The ability to utilize data in meaningful ways allows us to develop solutions which both our customers and employees can benefit from. Customers expect tailored servicing and Chase is looking to deliver personalization to meet their needs.

As a Data Annotation Lead, you will work closely with the Head of Data Science to provide thought leadership and oversight on the collection, annotation and enrichment of data. You will lead a team of specialists responsible for preprocessing data (text, audio and images) in order to make it usable for further insight, analysis and machine learning.

The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication and a track record of delivering high quality accurate annotated data solutions.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead engagements from understanding the business objective through to data identification, annotation and enrichment.

  • Become a subject matter expert and trusted advisor to your business partners to create and structure new annotations, labels and sub-labels.

  • Work closely with external vendors, data scientists and engineers.

  • Actively contribute to the continuous learning mindset of the organization by bringing in new ideas and perspectives that stretch the thinking of the group.


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Computational Linguistics, Engineering or a comparable discipline.

  • Experience with data annotation, labeling, disambiguation and enrichment.

  • Prior experience working with large datasets.

  • Familiarity with industry annotation and labeling methods.

  • Prior exposure to voice translation services and tools.

  • Familiarity with Machine Learning and AI paradigms (e.g., Text Classification, Entity Recognition, Information Retrieval).

  • Prior management experience leading lean teams.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree or higher in Computational Linguistics, Engineering or a comparable discipline.

  • Experience with Active Learning and Transfer Learning concepts.

  • Demonstrated ability to set clear goals, plan ahead, deliver against tight timelines.

  • Familiarity with Finance and Banking products.
