We are Telular – IoT for Tanks, Trucks, and Alarm Systems and we are in need of a talented individual to join us as we leverage and evolve our IoT platform for an explosion of Industrial IoT applications. Are you ready for this journey?

The Nitty Gritty

The senior software engineer will innovate, design, and develop cutting-edge products as a senior member of a fun and innovative team that makes a real difference by delivering products that delight customers and are used as part of their daily operations.

You will play a key role in defining and evolving the architecture, implementation, and development environment of Telular’s IoT platform using your deep knowledge of cloud-based software services using C#, REST API’s, SOA, OOD, and ASP.NET.

Here is a list of key responsibilities.

• Design, architect, implement and support secure cloud-based software services.
• Understand and implement platform services based on functional, technical and user requirements.
• Create, update, and maintain automated deployment pipeline.
• Drive improvement of operational efficiency through automation and/or process changes.
• Provide guidance and mentoring to other engineers, and “lead by example” with respect to quality and schedule awareness.
• Understanding of agile software development and DevOps best practices
• Other stuff as needed

Position Requirements:
What You Offer:

We have no doubt you have a lot of skills. We are specifically looking for someone with the following.

• 5+ years of software development experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science. Masters Degree preferred.
• Practical application of C#, SQL or NoSQL, ASP.NET MVC / CORE, and Azure or Cloud programming.
• Experience in .NET/C# based software development.
• Experience with object-oriented development (OOD) and service-oriented architectures (SOA).
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum environment.
• Demonstrable ability to own and deliver projects and results of increasing technical complexity 
• Demonstrable ability to analyze problems, diagnose root cause, and apply corrective actions.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

If you have experience with the below, even better!

• Knowledgeable with GitHub.
• Experience in M2M/IoT industry.
• PaaS and IaaS offerings.
• Worked with automated deployment tools like Jenkins and Octopus Deploy.
• Experience with IoT connectivity protocols like CoAP, LWM2M and MQTT.
• Conceptual or practical knowledge of Multithreading
• Mobile development for Android and iOS.
• Octopus Deploy and Visual studio
• Kubernetes and Docker Container experience on Azure or AWS (Azure being preferred).
