Job Description:

Sales


  • Penetrate and develop new strategic relationships at the client’s C-suite and senior level 


  • Excellent negotiation skills and proven track record of working with large complex organizations


  • Consultative sales approach in the grocery retail vertical


  • Ability to cross sell solutions across the organization and generate leads for other sellers


Client Relationship Management 


  • Establish trust and foster ongoing relationship with assigned clients


  • Demonstrate the value of continued and increased volume of services to assigned clients


  • Provides timely follow-up on action items and client requests 


  • On-site client visits (minimum annually)


  • Renews client contracts timely


Other


  • Ability to deliver bad news effectively and proficient with client conflict resolution 


  • Comfortable reading and evaluating business contracts from a business decision standpoint


  • Excellent problem solver and analytical thinker


  • Comfortable working with financial numbers and data 


Strategic 


  • Ability to coordinate large meetings and facilitate strategic discussions around account renewals and expansions 


  • Excellent knowledge of the retail landscape in order to successfully execute sales objectives


  • Develop a deep knowledge of assigned clients/prospects


  • Create/develop innovative networking skills to develop and drive pipeline for assigned solutions


  • Create and deliver value based pricing at the decision making level


  • Manage a complex sales environment involving multiple decision makers


Administrative 


  • Maintain detailed, accurate records


  • Navigate Salesforce and other software applications


  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required knowledge:


  • Excellent negotiation skills and proven track record of working with large complex organizations 


  • Ability to work with C-Level Executives and effectively communicate 


  • Ability to deliver bad news effectively and proficient with client conflict resolution 


  • Proven track record working with Legal and Procurement teams 


  • Excellent knowledge of the retail landscape 


  • Preferred grocery vertical experience 


  • Comfortable working with financial numbers and complex data sets


  • Ability to understand and evaluate business contracts from a business decision standpoint


  • Excellent problem solver and analytical thinker


  • Ability to work across Microsoft office products and google suite products at an advanced level


Required Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree 


  • 5+ Years of Sales Experience and/or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge and skills to perform the job


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office


  • Proficient in Google Suite


  • Proficient in Salesforce 


  • Ability to travel up to 40%


  • MBA Preferred
