JOB SUMMARY:
The UAS Industrial Engineering Supervisor is responsible for planning transportation networks that produce the proper balance of services and cost for Networks. He/She develops operating plans to most efficiently meet service requirements.The supervisor develops and communicates newly published plans to customers and other UPSFF stakeholders to provide long-term planning direction. He/She develops forecast model analyses to identify impacts on networks, minimize operational risks, and optimize revenue. This position provides alternative optimization scenarios to quantify the impact of proposed changes in operating plans.
OTHER DUTIES:
Identifies current and future needs of the customer or business; understands how business needs dictate the project’s requirements, project direction, business objectives, and resource allocation; makes recommendations on the solutions-design phase of the project.
Develops project management plans and leads the implementation for projects; supports initiatives with well-defined project needs and cross-functional roles/responsibilities throughout the project life cycle; manages with minimal organizational resistance to cross-functional project demands; employs project management tools and technology (e.g., Microsoft Project, Program Management Group website, etc.) appropriately.
Identifies and evaluates risks; determines and applies appropriate risk treatment(s).
Leverages technological knowledge to achieve business objectives; resolves technological issues impeding work; adapts technological information, facts, or data to varying situations or groups; recommends changes to technological approach based upon knowledge of trends and best practices.
Independently conducts standard analyses to identify problems in methods, processes, or workflow; interprets results of analyses; recommends solutions to address identified requirements, problems, or inefficiencies.
ADDITONAL SKILLS & EDUCATION:
FAA Remote Pilot Certificate (Part 107) – Preferred
Geographic Information System (GIS) Experience – Preferred
Bachelor’s Degree – Preferred
IE Planning Experience – Preferred
Experience utilizing network and operation planning tools – Preferred
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Excellent written and verbal communications Skills – Cross-functional communication with various audiences.
Strong research, analytic, problem solving, and time-management skills.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself
Must hold, or currently in pursuit of a Bachelor’s Degree (or internationally comparable degree); or be a current UPS employee with three years of UPS experience
Must have experience using Microsoft Office Suite Products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Outlook)
