Position Title: Sr Manager Application Development – Customer Relationship Management


Location(s): Position may be assigned to the following Crown Castle offices-  Houston, TX, Pittsburgh, PA, Westborough, MA, Atlanta, GA, Phoenix, AZ, or Irvine, CA


 


Position Summary:


The Sr. Manager, Application Development, Customer Relationship Management manages a team of business application developers and oversees high level strategic and tactical decisions for business tools and applications. This role requires to develop and manage application portfolios for each department and to attain all IT service level agreements for the user community within the organization. It is a leadership position that entails guiding and coaching development teams, planning and overseeing of projects and budgets and design functional strategies


 


Responsibilities:



  • Provide leadership and technical expertise to a team of top-notch experienced software engineers responsible for driving and providing user-centric, end-to-end technology solutions that are in continuous alignment with the organization’s strategic objectives.

  • Collaborate with leadership and key stakeholders on a regular basis earning a reputation as a thought-leader and strategic business partner in building technology-driven solutions.

  • Manage functions of the team, including, but not limited to, identity & access management system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 (Online & On-premise), SharePoint products as integrated with MS Dynamics in accordance with industry best practices.

  • Serve as primary technical lead for MS Dynamics 365 (Online & On-premise), MS Azure (Platform and native AI engine), and integrated ecosystems such as Oracle Financials (On-premise & ERP cloud). Knowledgeable on SSO integration with Enterprise Applications, Multifactor Authentication (MFA).

  • Champion the documentation and ongoing maintenance of user access, software engineering, code quality, testing, change management and release management best practices and procedures in accordance with departmental, corporate and Sarbanes-Oxley standards to ensure compliance.

  • Manage the planning, design, development, installation and maintenance of IT software applications

  • Prepare detailed technical designs that account for security, resiliency, scalability, maintainability and performance of large-scale enterprise solutions, in collaboration with Architecture, Product Management, Data Engineering & Management, Analytics, Infrastructure and CI/CD COEs.

  • Encourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, and self-organization.

  • Remain abreast of emerging digital technologies and trends.

  • Build culture of learning, collaboration and continuous improvement.

  • Work with external vendors to support hardware and software. Establish strong partnerships with vendors, set and manage clear expectations.

  • Deep knowledge of the application development and solid knowledge of the overall departmental function

  • Experience in architecting and designing technical solutions for Microsoft-centric solutions based on industry standards using Azure IaaS, PaaS and SaaS capabilities

  • Experience with Microsoft Cloud solutions: Azure AD, C# / C++, JavaScript frameworks, and PowerShell scripts

  • Experience with machine learning tools such as Azure ML, AWS AI, and/or custom frameworks

  • Knowledge of cloud security controls including tenant isolation, encryption at rest, encryption in transit, key management, vulnerability assessments, application firewalls, SIEM, etc.

  • Knowledge of claims-based authentication such as SAML/OAuth/OIDC, and Azure MFA

  • Knowledge of Virtualization (VMware) is preferred

  • Experience building and supporting mission critical technology components with DR capabilities and high availability ecosystems.

  • Extensive, real-world experience designing technology components for enterprise solutions and defining solution and reference architectures with a focus on cloud technologies

  • Strong organizational skills, the ability to perform under pressure and management of multiple priorities with competing demands for resources

 


Education/Certifications: 



  •  Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems or related field

 


Experience/Minimum Requirements: 



  • 8+ years of relevant industry experience preferred, with 5 years of hands-on technical leadership and people management experience.

  • Minimum of 2+ years in a solution architecture | technical lead role using service and hosting solutions such as private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS and SaaS platforms.

  • Minimum of 1+ years managing geographically dispersed team of developers

 


Organizational Relationship:  


Title(s) of direct reports (if applicable):  15+ engineers/developers


Working Conditions: Works in a normal office setting with no exposure to adverse environmental conditions.  During COVID19 conditions, this role will work remotely to mitigate risk.  This position may require travel when conditions allow.
