Job Duties:

Sr. IC Product Engineer for Medtronic, Inc. in Tempe, AZ. Provides product expertise for ultra-low power digital, analog and memory Integrated Circuits (IC) used in medical devices by using and applying technical standards, principles, concepts, and techniques. Coordinates product engineering activities through all phases of production for new product development. Performs Design FMEA (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) and generates the FMEA report for newly developed ICs, Collaborates tape-out transfer with the design team and the fabrication facility and designs reticle layouts. Works on various Semiconductor device physics. Provides technical writing for medical device, good documentation practices and FDA regulatory pathways and submissions. Utilizes software tools to include JMP, Minitab, Galaxy, Spotfire or PaceKeeper. Coordinates DOE (Design of Experiment) evaluation and change implementation related to Wafer FAB process improvements. Understands Transistor-level circuit design and programming for medical devices. Utilizes yield automation and scripting for C, C++ and JAVA. Provides IC testing, test requirements reviews, test methodology reviews, product improvements, and material change implementation. Utilizes ATE (Automated Test Equipment) testing with J750, SPEA or LTX. Understands FA analysis and Final test yield enhancement of analog and mixed signal IC products.

Basic Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical engineering or related engineering field and five (5) years of product or design engineering experience with low-power digital, analog and memory integrated ICs; or a Master's degree in Electrical, Biomedical engineering or related engineering field and two (2) years of product or design engineering experience with low-power digital, analog and memory integrated ICs. Must possess two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Semiconductor device physics; Technical writing for medical device, good documentation practices and FDA regulatory pathways and submissions; Utilizing data analysis software to include JMP, Minitab, Galaxy, Spotfire or PaceKeeper; DOE (Design of Experiment) evaluation and change implementation related to Wafer fabrication process improvements; Transistor-level circuit design and programming for medical devices; Yield automation and scripting for C, C++ and JAVA; and IC testing, test requirements reviews, test methodology reviews, product improvements, and yield enhancement for mixed signal ICs.
