Job Description:

Are you looking for an exciting job that allows you to work major sports and entertainment events in Austin?

We are currently looking for part-time UNARMED SECURITY OFFICERS to work OVERNIGHT shifts at well-known large entertainment venues in NORTH AUSTIN. A Texas Level II Non-Commissioned Security License or higher is REQUIRED (Training & Licensing Class Provided).  

PAY RATE: $12:00 per hour

You will also have the opportunity to pick up other shifts at all the venues 5 STAR Event Services provide services for in the Central Texas region.  This includes H-E-B Center at Cedar Park, all concerts and events held at the Circuit of the Americas, Stubb's Amphitheater, the Long Center, Haute Spot, Brushy Creek Amphitheater, Nutty Brown Amphitheater, Zilker Park, and much more!

Qualifications: 

• Texas Non-Commissioned Guard Card (Training & Licensing Class Provided)


• High School diploma or GED equivalent


• At least 18 years of age


• Reliable forms of communication and transportation


• Must possess excellent Customer Service, Verbal, and Written Skills


• Must be Outgoing, Personable and Professional


• Enjoy Working in both Independent and Team Environments

Job Duties: Observe and Report, plus:

• Act as a liaison with local law enforcement, client representatives, talent/sports team security and outside agencies.


• Completion of all security forms and documentation such as post orders, time sheets, incidents reports, event notes, invoices, etc.


• Highly responsive to emergencies in a fast paced, time sensitive environment


• Troubleshoot any incidents, problems or operating issues including those affecting clients, guests, and staff


• Monitor and maintain door access


• Must know, enforce, and abide by all 5 STAR rules, regulations, and emergency procedures  


• Enforce and uphold the integrity of the facility and event 

Physical Requirements: 

• Must be physically fit and possess full mental dexterity with the ability to walk, talk, stoop, kneel, crouch, hear and see


• The ability to walk and stand for extended periods of time (minimum of 8 hours)


• The ability to lift 25lbs.
