The purpose of this paid internship is to support maintenance & reliability improvements. This position is located in Green Bay, WI. We are looking for someone that can work 40 hours/week during the Summer 2021.
What you'll do:
Lead and collaborate on projects with plant leadership to improve plant reliability and efficiency. Project areas should focus on business needs of the plant and also on the student’s education and skill development. Projects will likely include applying lean manufacturing and project management tools.
Observe partner/leader interactions, both formal and informal, learning our leadership culture and processes including Weekly Quality Meetings, Safety Team Meetings, motivating partners and troubleshooting.
Learning and applying maintenance engineering principles including vibration analysis and precision installation techniques.
Planning maintenance tasks with a team of millwrights and electricians
Reviewing equipment manuals to develop preventative maintenance schedules
Assist and job shadow Engineering and Maintenance leaders.
Mentor with leaders throughout the company to learn about Schreiber’s business units, priorities, results, organizational structure, career opportunities, products, culture, etc.
Assist with any projects as needed.
What you will need to succeed:
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
Ability to work independently, lead others indirectly and directly, excellent interpersonal and problem-solving capabilities
Effective project management skills, and ability to make good business decisions quickly.
Experience with MS Office, MiniTab, AutoCad and other analytical planning tools is preferred.
Ability to work 40 hours/week during the summer 2021
