Summary:

PRO-telligent, A Tetra Tech Company is seeking an Administrative Assistant III to support the U.S. Department of State's, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Office of Children's Issues which leads the U.S. Government's efforts to assist children and families involved in international abduction and adoption cases. The Administrative Assistant III is responsible for assisting Officers with processing cases, drafting case summaries, drafting correspondence for signature by Bureau officials, and providing additional professional and administrative support to the office. This position is located in Washington, DC.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The Administrative Assistant III position is located within the U.S. Department of State's, Bureau of Consular Affairs, Office of Children's Issues which leads the U.S. Government's efforts to assist children and families involved in international abduction and adoption cases. The Administrative Assistant III is responsible for assisting Officers with processing cases, drafting case summaries, drafting correspondence for signature by Bureau officials, and providing additional professional and administrative support to the office.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • One year of professional experience; prior experience with DOS preferred but not mandatory.
  • A minimum of an Associate's Degree
  • Must have a Secret Clearance or higher
  • Must possess strong language skills and be able to proofread/format office memoranda.
  • Advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint).
  • Able to remain calm under pressure, meet deadlines, and work well with others in a team environment.
