Position Description

The Compensation Analyst analyzes and supports the design and administration of employer compensation programs and processes, including base and incentive pay programs. The analyst supports the evaluation of jobs, recommend pay grades, participates in compensation surveys, reporting and research, and performs associated analysis.

Responsibilities

Essential duties and job responsibilities include the following:
    • This role supports the analysis, provides recommendations, partners cross functionally with Finance and People Services teams, to drive the implementation of compensation programs or incentive programs for all employees or for specific groups to support the organization's objectives.
    • Create compensation models, analyze results and communicate financial impacts and support compensation reporting as required
    • Reviews, creates analysis and ensures that requests for pay adjustments comply with current compensation policy and process
    • Analyzes organizational pay practices, and makes recommendations for salary changes to ensure equity.
    • Support the development and maintenance of a job and geographical salary structure
    • Analyzes company compensation policies in relation to government wage and hour regulations, prevailing rates for similar jobs in comparable industries or geographic areas, and recommends changes as appropriate to establish and maintain market competitive rates.
    • Support compensation projects, data requests and other ad hoc reporting
    • Oversee job evaluation process and partner with People Services in the development and maintenance of consistent and accurate job descriptions.
    • Perform related duties and responsibilities as required.

EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE:
      Bachelor's Degree in human resources, finance or business or the equivalent combination of education, experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
    • Typically requires 3-5 years' experience
    • Proficient in MS tools (Advanced Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word,)
    • Detailed and results oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Ability to pull and manipulate data from multiple data sources and create comparisons and analysis using advanced excel skills
    • Ability to partner cross functionally and communicate effectively in a clear and concise manner with all levels of employees and managers.
    • Excellent communication skills are necessary along with very good administrative and organizational skills.
    • Comfortable taking the initiative, asking questions and providing recommendations
    • Ability to work with confidential materials and employee information and maintain confidentiality at all times.
    • Self-motivator that works with minimal supervision
    • Consistently makes sound decisions and prioritizes workload in a fast-paced, dynamic
