Job Description:

Edelman's Financial Communications & Capital Markets team is seeking an experienced financial communications professional to join our dynamic team as an Account Supervisor. As an AS, this individual will be responsible for all components of client and internal project management: client interactions, organizing work internally, communicating with the team, and ensuring projects are completed in an appropriate manner. The successful candidate will have relevant experience in financial policy and regulations and be eager to contribute to a dedicated team of professionals.

Duties & Responsibilities:


    • Team Player


    • Support senior account staff and manage a number of project support functions
    • Client Service


    • Ensure highest quality of client service
    • Policy Expertise


    • Inform communication strategies with financial policy expertise

      Understand and translate complex policy issues for policymakers and media


    • Media Relations


    • Leverage and maintain strong relationships with key reporters, producers, etc.
    • Digital Strategy and Activation


    • Work closely with digital and creative teams to develop audience-centric campaigns through digital channels using paid amplification and client owned social media channels and websites
    • New Business


    • Assist in proposal writing process and pitch preparation and coordination

Requirements:


    • Bachelor's Degree in Political Science, Business, Journalism, Public Policy, or related field required;

    • 4+ years of communications experience in a related field: political campaigns, Hill, agency, or Administration experience

    • Experience and interest in financial policy; capital markets, financial institutions, asset management, alternative assets

    • Experience on special situations (e.g. M&A, restructurings, investor-related issues, crisis, corporate governance, etc.)

    • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

    • Strong digital accumen

    • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills, with a strong work ethic

    • Understanding of the legislative process

    • Experience working in a client service environment
