We are seeking a dynamic and creative healthcare leader to lead our Affordability Solution team. This leader will manage a team of Product Owners who are responsible for defining, prioritizing, coordinating and signing-off on detailed features related to cross-cutting solutions and enablers. Examples of cross-cutting solutions and enablers include: telephonic care navigation and onboarding, opportunity and message prioritization, customer health profile and need identification and referral capabilities. This leader along with their team of Product Owners are responsible for working with Global Data and Analytics, Omni channel Value Stream, Solutions, and the Affordability Supply team to define our near / long-term cross-cutting solution roadmaps that will enable us achieve breakout Affordability performance. These roadmaps will define Affordability's point of view on what these key enablers need to achieve and how they will serve the needs of specific Opportunities that are being defined by the Opportunity Team. This leader and team will need to maintain and evolve their roadmaps based on new information while partnering with delivery teams to move specific features from the roadmap to delivery backlogs and into customers' hands. Some enabling solutions will require permanent ownership within Affordability while other may need temporary leadership and facilitation while the solution or process is in its infancy. While this leader's initial bias will be Cigna's Commercial book, we will look to support the Enterprise representing US medical total cost of care affordability needs inside and outside of Cigna in the not too distant future. The individual will have exceptional communication skills, a passion for and history of solution development and effective support of delivery teams.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Accountable business leader for defining solution roadmaps and key Affordability points of view for specific functions and features that have cross cutting implications across a number of opportunities


• Partners closely with Opportunity Lead and Team to ensure needs of each product owner are represented and in sync with their plans


• Prioritizes initiatives in a way that balances near term affordability impact with the iterative development of new strategic enablers


• Partners with delivery teams to help bring enabling solutions to life that improve Affordability


• Coordinates cross cutting demand side initiatives with supply side capabilities to create integrated solution roadmaps


• Responsible for identifying and securing internal SMEs to support identification of solutions


• Responsible for identifying key business questions and partners with GD&A, CX, Digital and others to solve any gaps in our knowledge base


• Partners with Opportunity Lead for Demand to define and coordinate needs of any prioritized opportunity area


• Reports to Affordability Demand Leader, Affordability Governance & Execution

Leadership Responsibilities:

• Lead a team of Product Owners


• Build and retain a high performing team


• Continuously look for opportunities to add, develop and upgrade talent


• Develop strong talent pipeline and ensure effective succession planning is in place


• Ensure appropriate structure / governance is in place to deliver on goals


• Build relationships with business leaders across functions and ensure functional / support teams are engaged as needed to support business strategy and execution priorities

Qualifications:

• 7+ years of management experience with a successful track record of developing and leading teams / organizations in a similar capacity


• Expert level knowledge of total medical cost concepts, analytics and business cases


• Track record of translating strategy and product roadmaps into enabling solutions


• Experience with defining business objectives, developing conceptual solutions and partnering with delivery teams to bring specific features and experiences to life


• Experience with Agile delivery is desired

This position is not eligible to be performed in Colorado.
