We are looking for a student to intern with our Global Research & Analytics (GR&A) team for Summer 2021. This is an opportunity to learn one of the leading industries in the U.S. This role will be an important part of the Commodity Services Team as we work to deliver market intelligence and economic forecasts to clients.

What do you get to do in this position?

  • Prepare and collect risk management and energy market data requests, organize data received into useful formats, and input data into databases/reports

  • Input and maintenance of excel-based market data used in creating charts for energy market slides used in client presentations

  • Work to develop an understanding of financial instruments available and the purpose, advantages, and disadvantages of their use in managing financial risk

  • Create and gather materials to support meetings with clients to discuss Risk Management and energy markets

  • Perform ad-hoc analyses and small projects within global energy markets, including market instruments, price relationships, and client energy spend/consumption patterns

  • Utilize statistical software for in-depth statistical analysis of data

  • Develop an understanding of how global energy markets and costs impact our clients

  • Analyze processes and procedures and present recommendations for improvements

  • Keep current with key political and economic developments as they relate to international energy markets

    This job might be for you if:


  • Are actively pursuing a bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Finance, or Accounting

  • Y ou are a quick and eager learner, willing to learn about econometric and mathematical concepts not yet learned in classroom environment

  • Have strong problem-solving skills focused on providing solutions

  • You have strong knowledge in using Excel and PowerPoint

  • You will need to be available to work 40 hours per week during the Summer, and then up to 17.5 hours week moving forward through the school year.
