The Americas Financial Crime Compliance (AFCC) function is the part of the Americas CRCO organization. The directive of the AFCC function is to lead all aspects of the financial crime controls crafted to identify and mitigate risks specific to Anti-Money Laundering and Terror-Finance, Anti-Bribery and Corruption, and Economic Sanctions.

As part of the team's directive, FCC also advises the business on crafting financial crime related controls, client risk issues, and business transaction risk specific to financial crime.

The AFC team has an opportunity for a Vice President on the Americas FCC Oversight, Governance, and Reporting team based in NY. The role will assist in the management of the governance framework and reporting of management information to appropriate governance forums.

The role reports directly to the Americas Head of FCC Oversight, Governance, and Reporting.


  • Manage FCC oversight and governance framework initiatives for the Americas including developing and coordinating agendas for key forums and improving reporting processes and information flow within the team and across the globe.
  • Assist in the development and distribution of key reports and critical issues to senior management and forums on behalf of FCC.
  • Assist in the development of FCC related agendas and presentations for both internal forums and regulator meetings.
  • Assist in the execution of supervisory control and oversight requirements on behalf of the FCC team.

You Offer


  • Equivalent experience of 5 years of compliance and/or risk management experience preferably with a focus on financial crime.
  • Equivalent work experience on improving oversight and governance frameworks with a focus on program efficiency is preferred!
  • Proven knowledge of FCR Management concepts such as risk assessments, risk appetites, managing client risk, and management information.
  • Strong desire to get into the detail of control processes. With capability to challenge Key Risk Indicators/Key Performance Indicators.
  • Detailed understanding of Investment Bank products and services; and the financial crime risk associated with those products/services.
  • Strong communication (written and verbal) skills, including an ability to present and provide clear, comprehensive input.
  • High attention to detail and ability to challenge the front office.
  • Outstanding presentation skills, both internally within the organization and externally addressing the Regulators.
  • Track record of working on remediation/improvement efforts in a high stressed regulatory climate.
  • Ability to work well within a matrix organization. This includes utilization of skills and resources that do not directly report into the role.
