We are looking for a Sr Java Developer who will be working on digital payments platform. This role requires the Sr Application developer to build and maintain new features and perform upgrades to the existing java based application. The developer will also work on the technology modernization effort to upgrade the technology stack from using proprietary libraries to using open source libraries. This position also requires the developer to have very good design skills for building a highly available, distributed, fault tolerant application that will be deployed on cloud (Spring pcf and kubernetes). Having a strong knowledge in Oracle Exadata will be a big plus; as the application developer will also be working on a major migration effort to move from DB2 to Oracle Exadata on cloud.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:


  • Hands on application developer who has strength in developing Java based application using Java 8+ , Spring (Boot, Core, MVC, Batch, Data , AOP, PCF), Hystrix, Kafka, Cassandra, Gemfire cache, Tomcat, DB2 and Oracle.
  • Java design patterns.
  • Performance tune slow running queries on Oracle and DB2.
  • Performance tuning a middleware application.
  • Experience building microservices using event driven architecture.
  • Designing a highly available middle ware application.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipeline.
  • Experience using static and dynamic code scanning tools.
  • Experience writing unit tests and using mocking frameworks.
  • Experience in functional and performance testing of the application.
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills.
