What you will do
You will design, deploy, install, configure, test, and maintain new and existing *nix server infrastructure technologies.
How you will do it
Design, install, configure, and maintain hardware and software components for *nix servers.
Provide ongoing engineering support for technology solutions.
Enhance, plan capacity, and design related to infrastructure engineering projects.
Support the deployment, management, communication, and reporting on activities related to technology refresh.
Design and configure technology solutions.
Develop and deploy strong private cloud capabilities.
Provide troubleshooting support (tier 3 level support) and perform analysis in large, complex environments.
Plan, test, and execute migration to new solutions while managing existing solutions and retiring legacy solutions.
Provide input to Platform Management and Infrastructure Architecture regarding existing and new technologies. Review proposed changes, architecture standards, and technology roadmaps.
Actively share and develop innovation and automations for continued improvement.
Define, maintain and follow technical standards across platforms.
Maintain proper documentation of systems configurations for *nix servers and software.
Ensure projects and milestones are on track, following policies, ensuring best practices, and expanding domain specific knowledge.
Analyze existing Infrastructure capacity requirements and resource utilization.
Guide and support suppliers on change and problem management which could involve the planning, approving, and implementation of changes and analyzing root cause.
Review reports and logs for problems and identify appropriate solutions to include developing workflow for lower tier support levels.

What we look for
Required:
Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
7-10 years’ experience managing servers in an enterprise datacenter environment
Advanced knowledge of *nix server operating systems and ancillary software
Strong experience with IT automation and orchestration
Strong analytical skills are required to understand, diagnose, and resolve complex technical issues
Excellent communication skills and proficiency in speaking English
Preferred:
Experience with VMware vSphere virtualization
Experience with public cloud platforms and solutions (Azure, AWS, GCP)
Experience with converged and hyperconverged infrastructures
