The Engineer performs general maintenance work to ensure hotel physical plant quality and safety standards are achieved and maintained. The Engineer takes care of the building, equipment and grounds of the hotel. This position will perform maintenance and repairs, and preventative maintenance, to all areas of the hotel.
Job Description
Operate, monitor, repair, and maintain the facility’s lighting systems, HVAC systems, fire system, environmental controls, emergency power system, electrical system, kitchen equipment, vehicles, and other systems as required for safe and efficient operation of the facility. Participate in the execution of the preventative maintenance program and assist in energy management. Properly record all work performed by fully completing work order tickets in a timely and complete manner. Use wiring diagrams, schematics, and blueprints. Operate a variety of hand and power tools. Operate personal computer.
Comply with the hotel’s standards
Maintain a safe work environment for all associates and guests.
Maintain proper associate uniform standards.
Manage an effective repair and maintenance program through the use of work orders and inspections.
Assist any associate in his or her job performance, when required, to ensure guest satisfaction.
Communicate directly and thru the use of the log book to the next shift.
