Job Description:

The successful Social Media Content Producer/ Project Coordinator is a team player who is comfortable multitasking and working in a fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

 


  • Produce content for NYC Ferry’s presence on Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Instagram, TikTok and other social channels, including Travel Site profiles using multimedia, social tools, A/B testing, and performance metrics to ensure success.

  • Plan and implement social media campaigns and initiatives across Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Pinterest, TikTok and YouTube.

  • Identify key strategic relationships, influencers, bloggers, and brands in designated verticals to amplify social shares.

  • Identify, establish, and manage an ongoing influencer/brand ambassador program.

  • Create bold, eye-catching, conversational, and data-driven posts, masterfully balancing requests with opportunities, while ensuring accuracy and correct grammar.

  • Track results to uncover patterns of what works and what doesn’t.

  • Engage with and learn from NYC Ferry's team, community and beyond to gather and develop insights into top-performing content, competitive intelligence, and trends.

  • Provide creative social media support for live events.

  • Produce a weekly performance report of NYCF Social Platform

  • Create concise, eye-catching, and innovative headlines and body copy for blog posts.

  • Research and organize stats, facts, and sources.

  • Consistently brainstorm and collaborate with the marketing team for new ideas, content opportunities.

  • Create content that is innovative and original for the NYC Ferry Blog and its topic categories.

  • Writing for multiple platforms (website, blog, social posts, marketing collateral, etc.).

  • Run weekly website and app performance reports to monitor, analyze and communicate weekly KPIs and metrics in order to drive optimization and higher conversions

  • Assist Director with creating, managing, and analyzing email marketing and surveying

  • Manage print / signage orders

  • Assist with various marketing tasks and projects as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:


  •  1-3 years of experience managing social channels for a media brand.

  • Strong writing and editorial skills

  • Bachelor's degree in journalism, communication, business, or a related field.

  • Enthusiasm for social media, SEO, and digital analytics.

  • Passion for data to observe which social posts work, and why.

  • A moderate obsession with correct spelling and grammar.

  • Knowledge of Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Able to work quickly and accurately, even when multitasking.

  • Video, audio, and image editing tools are pluses.
