This is an exciting opportunity to join Edelman's busy global marketing function, which aims to build and maintain the Edelman brandand reputationand drive growth. You will work as part ofthe global marketing team (US and UKbased) who develop,establish,and execute theglobalmarketing strategy for the agency, responsible for a broad range of events and initiatives.The marketing functionworks closely acrossallsectors and teams to tailor marketing approaches based on varyingaudienceneeds.
In this role, the Work Champion and Awards Manager will focus on developing, implementing and executing a case study and awards process that will bring fame and recognition to Edelman and the work we do for our clients. Working in partnership with the broader marketing team and key stakeholders across the business, the work champion will ensure there is a consistent pipeline of campaign recognition for Edelman celebrating and promoting our best work across awards programs, external and internal channels.
Key Responsibilities
Drive momentum and understanding around the importance of case study development
Manage the process for packaging up Edelman campaigns for multiple purposes and platforms
Build and maintain relationships with senior leads, account managers, creatives and strategists to advise on campaign storytelling, assets and measurement
Partner with broader marketing, new business and senior management to support internal knowledge management in relation to the campaigns.
This could include:
Writing, editing and proofing assets in relation to the work for marketing collateral, agency IP and online content
Provide a pipeline of campaign awareness and cases for broader marketing team to profile across media, social and website
Employee engagement activities and knowledge sharing around the work, e.g. supporting participation in Knowledge-sharing calls, Town Hall presentations and the Edelman Earn It awards
Identify and track case studies for award submissions, as well as, managing the award entry process from entry creation to submission.
More specifically:
Create and maintain an annual global awards calendar including keeping on top of new award programs and changes to existing awards
Develop and maintain relationships with award organizers and key contacts
Motivate and encourage teams to include awards planning into their broader campaign planning
Provide advice on which award programs and categories to client teams
Secure jury presence for Edelman employees
Develop timeline, resource, deadline and stakeholder plan for each award program
Manage external and internal designers, copywriters and production companies for content and assets needed for entries
Act as point person for campaign teams and production teams ensuring all parties are clear on timelines and requirements
Proof-read and edit written entries to provide feedback ensuring that campaigns are being presented in the best possible way
Responsible for submission and tracking of awards entries
Provide analysis and summaries of award entries and wins
Key Requirements:
Excellent project management skills
Experience in managing agency award process and entries/and or award show jury
Experience in managing creative and production teams
Demonstrable knowledge and understanding about what makes a great campaign
Knowledge of marketing/PR awards programmes
Excellent written and oral communication skills with a passion for creative execution and a keen eye for detail and aesthetic
Proven ability to manage senior stakeholders internally and externally
Friendly, approachable manner with a collaborative attitude to work
Ability to use own initiative whilst working to tight deadlines in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
Strong interest in the news agenda, current affairs, trends and industry topics
