Position Overview
As a Warehouse Attendant, you will perform a variety of tasks in connection with the receipt, storage and distribution of stock items. You will also receive, check, store, count and distribute inventory of all types in accordance with established systems, procedures and methods. Our Warehouse Attendants are part of a talented team that gets great tasting community coffee to our loyal customers every day!
Function Related Activities/Key Responsibilities
Reads load reservations and customer order requests (computer generated pre-sell orders) to determine stock items to be pulled for distribution
Loads or unloads items on or from trucks and other conveyors
Conveys items to and from receiving, shipping and storage areas
Assembles sales personnel and customer orders and requests by pulling from on-hand stock and placing in staging areas
Audits picked orders for accuracy and reports discrepancies to supervisor for corrections
Stacks and arranges product on pallets
Assists internal customers with physically loading products on to of sales trucks
Assists in weekly/monthly inventory cycle counts of warehouse/location and company vehicles by determining quantities of product on hand
Moves product in warehouse/location as necessary during reallocations of space or taking of inventory.
Rotates product and arranges according to Julian dates or FIFO (first in first out)
Receives and checks against receiving documents incoming product, ensuring proper nomenclature and product code (UPC), quantity and condition. Reports any discrepancies to the Supervisor
May be required to utilize location van to pick up product from outside vendors and deliver to warehouse/location for further processing
May be required to help maintain lawn and landscaping
Completes forklift and pallet jack inspections before each shift if required by location
Replenish stock while maintaining a cleaned and organized warehouse/location daily
Occasionally required to clean and perform minor repairs to equipment
May be required to operate industrial forklifts, electric and manual pallet jacks
May be required to maintain organization of warehouse based on WMS picking/put away strategies
May be required to maintaining timely execution of daily receiving and shipping schedules based upon the published load boards
May be required to utilize hand held WMS units as well as computers to execute product movement and placement according to established procedure
Additional/differential duties may be required depending on location of position
Position Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent required
One to two years related experience preferred;
Equivalent combinations of education and experience.
Valid driver's license or valid federal, state or local ID card
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.
Ability to operate forklift, hoist, welding equipment and various hand and power tools.
Familiar with industrial and mechanical terminology.
Knowledge of CFR 110, current good manufacturing practices and AIB consolidated standards for food safety.
Any related certifications required, computer skills etc.

Field Sales Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts; in high, precarious places; and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne particles; The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate, but may be moderately loud in warehouse areas.
