POSITION OBJECTIVES:


  • Deploy a Global Best in Class, Collaborative, Agile and Real-Time Regional and Differentiated distribution network delivering a “Unique Customer and Patient Experience”

  • Support strategic global transportation network initiatives and program within US

  • Provide to plants and affiliates innovative best practices on transportation processes and systems (LLP, transport mode alternatives, SAP,..), export and IC / order to billing acting as SME supporting Global Business Process Owner on Transportation Operations and on Shipping Solutions


  • Manage a team and oversight US Transportation and Export shipments exUS operations: planning, organizing and monitoring the transportation of intermediates and finished products from Takeda plants as well as replenishment of Finished goods to 3PL’s and distributors.

POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Act as SME /SAP Super user supporting BPO / GOP Global Transportation Standards & Guidelines definition and Training to deploy standardized & harmonized processes across Takeda

  • Support BPO / GOP Global Shipping Solutions concept definition, Training& implementation

  • Manage the implementation of strategic initiatives with all plants, OpUs and LOCs to optimize transportation spends and to achieve savings and strategic partnership with carriers while meeting customers’ expectations on quality, service and costs

  • Collaborate with other GDL business function on the design and implementation of Distribution Network Strategies (3PL’s)

  • Support the LLP concept definition and deployment within area and region of responsibiltiy

  • Manage US inbound shipments operations from PLANTS (OpUs) or CMOs to DCs/RDCs

  • Manage US export shipments operations from US PLANTS (OpUs plants) or CMOs to RDCs / DCs and to distributors on export markets

  • Manage import operations for out of US origin shipments

  • Manage LLP IDOCs issues resolution

  • Manage the transportation validation (Shipping solution/Cold Chain Center of Excellence) by Coordinating and managing the execution of lanes and shipping logistics solutions qualification

  • Ensure the implementation and use of compliant cold chain operational processes and risk mitigation plans in close collaboration with GDP Quality

  • Support execution of Products Launches on transportation & Local Projects mgmt. in area of responsibility

  • Manage Deviations and conduct comprehensive investigations in collaboration with QA GDP to define CAPAs for commercial and non-commercial shipments

  • Actively support Supplier management (transportation) process to define guidelines & procedures for selection of transport & supplier to achieve overall costs improvement, compliance, service level

  • Actively participate to QBR & Performance mgmt. of LSPs and report comments on CSLe in scope in alignment with GSCE and other GDL reporting teams

  • Manage Master data definition & mgmt. on SAP LES module in coordination with BPL (GSCSS) and other GDL functions

  • Set and maintain all sGOPs (operating procedures) in conjunction with operations, Tax, Regulatory Affairs and Quality to establish and maintain harmonized processes.

  • Sustain GDP compliance, Cold Chain Excellence and support Internal/External quality Audits

  • Ensure export activities compliance exEU supporting internal/external audits (JSOX, quality,…)

  • Risk management & issue resolution: support & deploy within transportation network D&L operations / LOCs / OpUs / manufacturing units risk management GOP and BCP

  • Lead definition and tracking of Budget in area of responsibility

EDUCATION, BEHAVIORAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:


  • Bachelor in Supply Chain management or equivalent

  • Min 8 years of prior relevant experience in Supply Chain Distribution and Logistics management

  • Very strong communication skills to manage stakeholders across levels & across countries

  • Good leadership, networking and influencing skills

  • Good intercultural skills

  • Good business acumen & financial analytics skill

  • Structured, holistic and clear in problem solving

  • Strong ability to assess strengths & weaknesses of staff members & provide suggestions for improvement & opportunities to mentor staff

  • Strong ability to analyse a wide variety of supply chain data to make process improvement decisions

  • Strong ability to present ideas with clarity, conviction and confidence

  • Very Good Supply Chain systems knowledge (SAP LES/MM/SD/FI, customers and suppliers collaboration solutions,…)

  • APICS Certification preferred

  • Fluent in English in verbal and written communication
