Position Summary
The Care Coordinator/Life Skills Instructor will utilize a strengths-based, recovery-focused approach in a professional manner to teach adults, living with serious mental illness and adults with addictions, the skills they need in order to reach their individual recovery goals and to connect to their community. This position will predominately provide services in the home and community setting. Staff will travel within an assigned local geographic area.

Pay for this position is based on related experience
$1,000 Hiring Bonus

Education and Experience

Bachelor's degree in social work, psychology, counseling or a directly-related human service field from a college/university accredited by the US Department of Education required
Two (2) years directly related experience in past professional and/or nonprofessional roles highly preferred
Prior work or life experience with adults who have a serious mental illness highly preferred

Must be detail oriented, have excellent organizational skills and be flexible
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced, time sensitive environment with shifting priorities and multiple deadlines
Ability to work and effectively deal with multiple types of personalities in a variety of situations
Must be capable of exercising good judgment in crisis situations
Must maintain a valid driver's license, current automobile insurance and a driving record that meets the guidelines and requirements of the organization
Must have reliable transportation to transport self and/or others and to travel within the community


Background Checks
Employment is contingent on background checks as required by Aspires policies which may include: Drug Test, Criminal History, Sex Offender Registry Search, State Central Registry Check, Employment Verification, Education Verification, and Professional References

Vaccinations
Vaccinations as recommended by the CDC for healthcare workers are highly preferred. Written documentation (vaccine record) or titres (blood testing) may be needed to determine immunization status.
