The Courtyard by Marriott Newark - University of Delaware is seeking team players for several positions within our Housekeeping Department - Guest Room Attendant, Laundry Attendant, and Houseperson .We are an award-winning, newly-renovated hotel that requires a top-notch work ethic and stellar customer service. Must excel at adapting to change in the work environment, display a positive outlook and pleasant manner, and communicate well with others. Prior hotel housekeeping experience a plus.

Requirements:

Ensure the hotel's established standards of cleanliness are consistently met. Responsible for reporting any maintenance deficiencies and handling guest requests or complaints. Ensures the confidentiality and security of all guests, guest rooms, and public spaces. Able to communicate in English with guests, coworkers and management.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensures compliant with and completion of all daily operational procedures by the Housekeeping department.


• Ensures communication with Housekeeping Supervisors and staff.

Physical Demands:

While performing the duties of this job, the employees is regularly required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to handle or feel, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include the ability to adjust focus.
