KEY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Understands organization’s Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) that drive business success.
Designs and develops BI reporting tools and dashboards across multiple technologies.
Consults with business users to create BI solutions from new business initiatives.
Defines and documents changes to existing business intelligence systems and effectively communicates changes to all users.
Translates technical data into user friendly language so the business can make strategic decisions.
Understands and translates business needs into clear research questions, analyses, insights, findings, and recommendations.
Applies statistical methods on economic data to define potential impacts on business
Use strong business acumen, as well as an ability to communicate findings, and mine vast amounts of data for useful insights and use these insights to influence how an organization approaches business challenges
Extract data from multiple sources.
Sift and analyze data from multiple angles, looking for trends that highlight problems or opportunities.
Communicate information and insights to business leaders and recommendations to adapt business strategies.
KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:
Minimum of a Bachelors degree in Business, Math, Statistics, or Computer Science or combination of experience and education
At least 1-2 years’ of progressive experience in development of dashboards utilizing visualization tools such as Power BI (Preferred), Tableau, Qlik, Microstrategy, or other visualization tools.
2+ years administrative/clerical support in data entry
3+ years in data analytics
Ability to handle deadlines and work odd hours
Excellent documentation and grammar skills
Fundamental analytical and conceptual thinking skills
Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills
Able to work with minimal supervision
Knowledge of SQL including including stored procedures is a plus
Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook, with an emphasis on Excel, including formulas and pivot tables must be fluent
Critical skills include: Problem-solving, communication, teamwork, investigative skills, innovative thinking observation, attention to detail and critical thinking
Experience in the retail industry is preferred
Other duties as assigned
