RH is seeking a talented Senior Director, Creative who is ready to work primarily on directing all aspects of digital photography. This role takes responsibility for digital brand photography oversight, ensuring everyone has a shared vision of the direction things should be moving. In collaboration with the SVP, Brand Creative.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Establishes overall vision and direction, formulates ideas and constantly strives for new, better, and more innovative ways of expressing the RH brand that is appropriate
Can demonstrate high-level thinking and idea generation, but can also be hands-on in the execution of them
Effectively articulates and directs the RH Brand creative vision to the Photography team, that is action-oriented
Assist in sourcing and vetting freelance members of the Photography team
Review and approve all digital asset photography across categories and oversees consistency and quality of assets
Ensure the execution of all creative work stays within budget and that the creative strategy is met, in assisting and directing the photographer to ensure the team gets the shot, while encouraging and supporting the photographer to capture additional creative assets
Collaborate with Producer on schedules for short-term and long-term projects and ensure goals and deadlines are met
Provide retouching notes and approve final imagery and seasonal image Go-Bys for post production and drive improvements for photo quality and imagery production
Present work coherently and persuasively to the executive team as needed
Work collaboratively with cross-functional partners and members of product development and merchandising department as needed
Reviews (or lead a team who reviews) the photo dailies for quality and post production callouts
Communicates overarching product and / or project art direction to post production teams Ensure concepts hold their integrity in the post production stage and develops seasonal background plates
OUR REQUIREMENTS
12+ years of experience within advertising, branding, retail and editorial - with a highly developed eye for detail
Degree in Design, BFA or MFA
Experience within both the agency and client side is a plus
Experience at a luxury brand required
Possess extremely high standards for luxury branding aesthetics and hold yourself and those around you accountable to keeping the bar consistent
Ability to express a creative point of view, with an already existing highly developed sense of style and design while always pushing the brand presentation forward
Ability to constantly pivot and problem solve, multi-tasks, working on several priorities at once, under pressure and on tight deadlines and have flexibility to embrace change enthusiastically as a constant of your work
Self sufficiency to proceed with projects and move the team forward on a daily basis
Ideation and problem-solving skills
Keeps up-to-date on emerging advertising media, culture and trends
Proficiency in Adobe CS and Figma required
