This position will be responsible to :

  • Manage documentation aspects of exporting cargo on the Specialty desk, including, rating, tracking & tracing, and customer service to ensure that our customers receive the highest level of service.
  • Coordinate with the SSC team, handling production, rating & release, to ensure bills are processed within established SLAs and according to the exceptions notated for the customer.
  • Expedite all customer issues with a sense of urgency to resolve quickly and reduce possible service failures. Ensure communication is clear and detailed to limit delays or misunderstanding among parties.
  • Liaison with Home Office, other CMA CGM agencies worldwide, as well as internal departments, to proactively ensure smooth transport of goods to final destination in a cost effective and timely manner.
  • Create and maintain a strong rapport with accounts by personalizing each call or email to promote a Tier 1 level of customer service
  • Maintain accurate logs or reports for interdepartmental & management review of potential service failures.
  • Miscellaneous related duties or projects as assigned.

Skill Sets / Education & Experience Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Minimum of 2 years customer service experience required
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong Interpersonal & communication skills (written & verbal)
  • Ability to multitask and handle a fast paced working environment.
  • Strong organization & time management abilities
  • High level of analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Must be proficient in basic Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Outlook, Word).
  • Possess a mindset that clearly recognizes the importance & sensitivity of our customers.
  • Must be avaible to work 8:30am - 5:30pm, Monday thru Friday.

Skill Sets / Education & Experience Preferred:

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • Preference for Internal Candidates to have working knowledge with LARA, MIRA, DIVA, Rate Base, & Service Contracts.
  • Working knowledge of International Shipping preferred
  • Export Booking or Documentation experience preferred
