The Impact You’ll Make in this Role
As a Software Engineer on the Internal Tools team, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:

• Be an active member of an Agile team by participating in all phases of SDLC, including design, software development, code reviews and deployments.


• Develop solutions, software and components based on internal/external customer and business requirements


• Contribute to Security and Risk assessments to aid in the deployment of application components in Production


• Help resolve escalated internal customer support issues


• Develop your own skillset through training and development opportunities and continue to grow with 3M

Your Skills and Expertise 
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution OR High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and a minimum of six (6) years of software development experience in lieu of a Bachelor’s degree requirement


• Two (2) years of development experience with object-oriented programming, such as C#, Java, C++ or Python (Most of our development is in C#)


• Two (2) years front-end experience with Angular, React or similar technology

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Master's degree in Computer Science (Software Engineering, Cloud Computing, Cybersecurity, etc)


• Experience with Web/Web Services development (IIS, Apache Tomcat)


• Experience with database technologies such as MySQL, MS SQL Server, AWS RDS, AWS Aurora, AWS DynamoDB or Oracle


• Experience with AWS cloud development


• Experience in UI/UX design and best practices


• Experience working on an agile development team


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Travel: May include up to 10% domestic

Relocation Assistance: May be authorized

Must be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).
