Job Description:

The Senior Technical Recruiter for support to the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA).  The right candidate will provide full-lifecycle support in our Fairfax office for our rapidly growing staff requirements, the majority of which will be technical or IT services in nature and may require government security clearances. Responsibilities include engaging incumbent contractors, identifying key resources within specific projects or programs interface with our Program Manager's, Team Leaders, and other managers to create, review, and advertise positions, source candidates, pre-screen, and interview candidates, assist with the offer process and track candidates. The successful candidate must understand Government contracting, staffing policies, security clearance requirements, and the use of applicant tracking systems. The Senior Technical Recruiter must demonstrate the ability to establish trust and confidence by maintaining a high level of credibility with our team and potential hires. The successful candidate will be a creative thinker, passionate about recruiting, thrives in a fast-paced, and is quality-driven environment. This person must be self-motivated, adept at selling and influencing while welcoming the opportunities that come with supporting a growing company within a competitive job market.

Required Skills:


  • Minimum 5 years of full life cycle recruiting experience with 3 years of experience recruiting for  the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), in a high-volume technical environment.

  • Ability to engage incumbent contracting staff, source and hire candidates across the nation with IT or other technical services backgrounds, including those who possess various security clearances at all levels at VA.

  • Experience building talent pipelines without relying upon outside staffing firms

  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with numerous hiring managers, at various levels, including senior executives

  • Demonstrated customer service, interviewing, negotiation, and internet sourcing skills

  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is necessary as are clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:


  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent work experience
