Role Summary

This Deposit Operations Associate II will perform a variety of duties related to Deposit Operations, providing a wide range of support to Deposit Operations Management to include reviewing, processing, and updating daily work.  This position will provide guidance to branches and internal departments with routine to moderately complex inquiries, and performs duties independently with minimal managerial oversight.  The incumbent will process and review daily ACH activity and return deposited items, as well as exception item processing, Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), and unresolved items including balancing and interaction with branch staff. 

Key Responsibilities / Essential Functions


  • Processes and reviews daily ACH activity and return deposited items, as well as exception item processing, Non-Sufficient Funds (NSF), and unresolved items including balancing and interaction with branch staff. 

  • Performs document administration and management tasks to file, safe keep, image, and audit documents. 

  • Prepares appropriate customer correspondence and notices.

  • Takes ownership of problem resolution on deposit products and services, identifying the issue, resolving, and following up with customer to ensure satisfaction.

  • Assists with reviewing, processing, and performing daily operational duties including workflows.

  • Develops and maintains an in-depth knowledge of bank products, services, department procedures and policies, and regulations to ensure accurate handling of inquiries.


  • Cross-trains to perform other functions and duties assigned in Deposit Operations.

  • Provides on-going support to Treasury Management Officers and Commercial Bankers as it relates to deposit products and related fees.

Your Experience


  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in relevant field preferred.

  • 3+ years’ experience in a financial institution required, preferably in a problem-solving customer service-based role or card services area.

  • Basic knowledge of accounting, balancing principals, and bank operations.

  • Demonstrated technology skills, including intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Initiative and accuracy required, as well as an understanding of regulatory requirements and risk operations to minimize/eliminate potential loss.
