Job Description:

Investor Relations integrates finance, communication, marketing, and securities law compliance to enable the most effective two‐way communication between the company, financial community, and other constituencies. The goal is for the company’s securities, such as common stock or bonds, to achieve a fair valuation. The team also analyzes and shares the financial condition and outlook of competitors across the organization.

Your team
You will be part of the Investor Relations team, which actively participates in the process of analyzing the company’s results each quarter, creating the earnings release, and preparing for the earnings teleconference, follow-up questions, and investor meetings. We help the business units understand the competitive environment and work with them to assure consistency of our message. We apply technical accounting and public company reporting skills, business analytics, and maintain a current awareness of industry, regulatory, and other developments affecting our operating environment.

Your role
Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
•    Prepare quarterly earnings release and supplemental business specific materials, focusing on the drivers of earnings and key variances from prior periods
•    Review materials supporting the quarterly earnings process and prepare the annotated quarterly financial supplement and results summary
•    Support earnings review with rating agencies through participation in quarterly meetings and development of support materials
•    Prepare and update Investor Relations presentations to the board, senior management, and business partners
•    Lead consolidation of peer metrics to support compensation program
•    Focus on developing technology-enabled efficiencies, including self-service reporting tools for ease of use by senior management

Your Expertise
What we are looking for in your background:
•    3+ years of experience in financial reporting/analysis with an external focus on the insurance industry
•    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
•    Strong interpersonal and communication skills
•    Highly motivated, team player with strong analytical skills
•    Ability to manage multiple responsibilities under tight time frames
•    Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills including financial modeling tools
•    Proficiency with external data sources such as Bloomberg
