Manager, Client Development - Programmatic (Remote Opportunity) at Inmar, Inc.

Job Description:

As the Manager, Client Development, Programmatic you will work in collaboration with sales and internal product teams to conceptualize and deliver quality, data-driven media plans that solve our clients’ complex business and advertising/marketing problems. In addition, manage a team of 2-3 Client Development Managers to maintain quality service by creating and enforcing standards of practice, analyzing and resolving problems, and recommending improvements. The ideal candidate will be able to both manage team members and work on client/agency requests to quickly create media plans that address both strategic and tactical account opportunities. The Manager, Client Development, Programmatic is uniquely positioned to both manage a team, and influence direct revenue generation through its ability to interact with Sales, Product Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Client Services.

Primary Accountabilities: 

Influence (30%)


  • Work closely with the internal Client Development Directors (CDDs) on CPG clients’ and media Agencies' Programmatic strategies


  • Develop recommendations that align with client KPIs; must be able to articulate and defend media plan proposals


  • Create compelling client-ready assets and presentation materials to motivate and inspire stakeholders, focusing on the clear communication of data-driven recommendations


  • Manage internal communications, garnering support and appropriate buy-in with cross-functional teams


  • Collaborate with Client Services and Product teams on product improvements that could deliver incremental value and/or upsell opportunities


Strategic (40%)


  • Respond to Request For Proposals (RPFs) by creating strategic proposals based on advertisers’ objectives, target audiences, and creative assets, etc.


  • Thoroughly understand client’s strategic goals and objectives and translate how Inmar’s products and solutions align with those objectives


  • Ensure the client understands the value of the services available or being received that leads to campaign renewal with increased value to the company


  • Obtain “expert” level understanding of Inmar programmatic media solutions, with the ability to act as solutions expert for CDD in client presentations


  • Maintain expertise and passion for the industry, technology, methodology, best practices, and regulations of relevance to the programmatic media product


Administrative/Management (30%)


  • In coordination with the Sr. Director, maintain staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees; as well as develop, coordinate, and enforces systems, policies, procedures, and productivity standards


  • With support of Sr. Director, coaches, counsels, and takes corrective action with employees


  • Maintain and utilize current sales materials, as well as ongoing updates to products, tactics, features, etc.


  • Manage tracking of proposals, available inventories, and reporting capabilities


  • In consultation with sales, ensure accuracy of Salesforce.com data prior to and until media programs are executed


  • Support development and refinement of programmatic media product and sales materials (i.e. case studies) across Inmar cross-functional teams


  • Manage travel expenses and budgets, in-line with Inmar policies


  • Performs other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications: 


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Business, or related industry


  • Minimum 4-5 years experience at an advertising or media agency is preferred


  • Experience leading a team is required (direct management or supervisory)


  • Background in data-driven strategic planning


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Strong project management skills; acute attention to detail and organization 


  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks requiring follow-up and meeting deadline(s); must thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic atmosphere


  • Proficiency with data sources and visualization tools


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint, especially), Google Suite, and Salesforce
