This Administrative Assistant II assists with the administrative, financial, and human resources duties of a moderately complex department or unit.
DUTIES
Prepares all expenditure and personnel documents
Coordinates travel arrangements
Assists with budget reconciliations
Orders office supplies and services
Coordinates maintenance and acquisition of equipment and services from IT and Facilities Management
Prepares/composes and distributes correspondence
Schedules appointments and coordinates meetings
May prepare contract documents
Maintains records relating to administrative, financial, and human resources
MARGINAL DUTIES
Performs duties that are unique to the specific department
Performs all other duties assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Direct Reports: May supervise part-time employee(s) Delegation of Work: May occasionally assigns work to subordinate(s) Supervision Given: May provide recommendations on managing student assistants

Knowledge:
Knowledge of trends, issues, and accepted practices relevant to the position
Skills:
Candidates must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills

WORK LOCATION AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Primary Work Location: Works in an office environment > 8 hours
Physical Demands: Work is normally performed in a typical interior work environment that does not subject the employee to any unpleasant elements. The position is physically comfortable; the individual has discretion about walking, standing, etc. The work environment involves minimal exposure to physical risks
