Job Description:

We are seeking a Clinical Content Specialist to:


  • Team with health care providers to determine best patient care

  • Assist with improving patient care using current evidence

  • Develop tools to assist with patient care activities

Education:

Minimum – Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Business, Biology or relevant field. 

Preferred – Master’s degree in health care related field.

Work Experience:

Minimum - 1 year in project management, quality improvement, or process improvement type of experience.

Preferred - 2 years experience in health care/health care related field.  Experience with EPIC software. Project management experience.

Licenses and Certifications:

Preferred - Current licensure in clinically related field if applicable (e.g., nursing license if an RN). Project Management Certification.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities:


  • Project management skills.

  • Strategic focus.

  • Ability to think systematically.

  • Facilitation skills with ability to drive consensus amongst interdisciplinary groups.

  • Excellent oral and written communication, questioning, observation, and interpersonal skills; communicates and works with diverse constituencies, develops rapport with members across the organization.

  • Familiarity with process and quality improvement processes.

  • Effective meeting management skills.

  • Familiarity with evidence-based practice concepts and tools.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite programs is preferred.

Physical Requirements:

Sedentary: Ability to lift up to 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools.  Although a sedentary job is defined as one, which involves sitting, a certain amount of walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties.  Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally and other sedentary criteria are met.

Work Schedule:

This positon is 100% FTE, 40 hours per week.  Monday – Friday with 8 hour shifts.  Hours may vary based on the needs of the department.
