Job Description:

Support budgeting, forecasting, reporting and financial analysis for delivery to senior leadership team. Partner with IT organization and identify critical cost levers which drive business performance; provide senior management with recommendations designed to improve operating results.  The successful candidate will be creative as well as customer and solution oriented, while delivering timely and high-quality results while pursuing multiple concurrent initiatives.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Oversee and ensure accuracy of team responsible for IT related purchasing process including purchase requisitions, purchase orders, goods receipt tracking and capital expense purchases in accordance with established policies and procedures


  • Ensure team completes month-end close activities such as expense tracking and accrual reporting for multiple vendors


  • Monthly variance analysis and tracking of key performance indicators


  • Create financial models and perform analysis for business leaders and finance management to support decision making.


  • Develop dynamic reporting and key business metrics; explore and implement predictive analytic tools.


  • Support budgeting, forecasting and ad hoc analysis efforts by the FP&A Team.


  • Ensure adherence to cost accounting guidelines set forth by GAAP as disseminated by Corporate Finance


  • Develop and implement new processes and procedures to ensure busines efficiencies and controls


ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Complete special projects and other similar financial planning and analysis duties as assigned by Director -Finance

QUALIFICATIONS:

KNOWLEDGE/SKILL/ABILITY:  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required:


  • Thorough understanding of financial analysis and reporting concepts


  • Understanding of financial aspects of an IT organization including accounting treatments for capital expenditures, operating expenses, prepaid maintenance contracts


  • Ability to identify revenue and cost drivers within financial models which drive business performance


  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills


  • Ability to develop recommendations to improve operating results


  • Consistently demonstrate a high level of accuracy in his/her work


  • The ability and confidence to get into the detail of the systems at a transactional level to find the root cause of an issue, to understand that detail and the cause - and to solve it


  • Ability to organize, meet strict deadlines and work both independently and as part of a team.


  • Independent with high initiative


  • Strong problem solving and analysis skills


  • Strong understanding of database and reporting technologies.


  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced business environment and to manage multiple concurrent activities


  • Strong financial background and analytical skills


EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • BS/BA in Accounting, Finance or related Business area, MBA or CPA preferred


  • Strong accounting foundation required


  • 10+ years of financial and/or accounting experience including progression to include responsibility for budgeting, planning, forecasting and management reporting


  • Advanced skills in MS Excel and other MS Office products


  • SAP experience a plus


SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS:

Typical work week is 40+ hours with overtime as required to meet business needs and deadlines
