The Optoelectronic Devices Group (https://sites.google.com/udel.edu/phillipsgroup) led by Jamie Phillips at the University of Delaware invites application for a Postdoctoral Researcher. The researcher will work on the design, simulation, fabrication, and characterization of III-V optoelectronic devices including photovoltaics, light-emitting diodes, and infrared photodetectors. Device fabrication will use the University of Delaware Nanofabrication Facility (https://udnf.udel.edu/). Two primary projects are energy harvesting for microscale IoT devices including bio-implantable devices, and high-performance short-wavelength infrared detectors.

Prospective applicants should hold a Ph.D. degree in electrical engineering, applied physics, or related field, with experience with optoelectronic device simulation, nanofabrication, and electrical/optical testing. Strong research and publication background is required. Fluency in English speaking/writing is required. The initial term of appointment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding.
